Are you an experienced carer looking for home care jobs Wokingham?

If you would like home care jobs Wokingham, you’ve come to the right place.

If you are a qualified carer living in or around the Wokingham area and are looking for a change, we would love to hear from you. Especially if you already work in domiciliary care. If looking for more money is your primary reason to change, we probably can help as we aim to pay high rates, but if that’s your main reason for a change it might not work. We need people who can show a passion for care and want to develop and be the best, if you don’t feel like this you won’t fit in as we have high expectations for care and, as a result, believe we offer good rewards and a great place to work.

Our clients are all mainly private and so you are very likely to work in lovely homes which in itself can make for a better start to your day. We schedule very carefully to ensure each client only has a few carers and so you will get to know your clients well, this should also keep your travel [paid] to a minimum. Also, we work on the basis of a one-hour visit, so you will never have the worry of rushing through a call. For us, it’s very important to have a comfortable and relaxed visit where the chat and companionship are as important the personal care, cleaning or doing a bit of shopping. We look for carers who can see beyond a checklist of tasks to what’s really needed to make our clients lives better. Where clients need multiple daily visits we offer a minimum 30-minute visit, again giving enough time to do a caring job. If this is the type of care you like to give and you want to work with experienced professionals who are as committed to looking after our staff as we are our customers, then please call us to learn more. As a new business, we are full of energy and ideas and plan to be the place to work in care.

In terms of our remuneration we are competitive with our hourly rates plus we pay mileage and travel time, we pay for your training and your DBS and uniform.

Would you like to become a carer?
If you would like to be a get home care jobs Wokingham, it helps if you are able to be flexible with your time, are eager to learn new skills and want to help people get the most from life.  If so, a career in care could be ideal for you. Joining our team will provide you with an opportunity to become a carer with the highest standards. You will be trained in all the essential requirements of the job and will have the chance to specialise in certain areas i.e. dementia care, Parkinson’s disease, end of life care and more. In terms of progression, we recognise the need for continuing development. You will have extensive in-house training and we will help and support you to achieve a qualification in Care. Your pay will improve with your level of qualification.

Most aspects of the job bring huge rewards. Every one of our clients is different and so is going to need a different level of care. Some clients are a pure delight and others will be more challenging but are just as rewarding to help. Some families can find it difficult to visit Mum or Dad without a sense of negative expectation, which often shows and doesn’t help. There is no question about how much they love them, it can just be very hard to find the time to stop and listen [perhaps to the same old stories and issues] when they have to fit it into their own busy lives and they are not trained to understand the needs of those with increasing difficulties, like having a dementia. What we can bring to every call is a smile, no family baggage or judgement and the skills and patience to just focus on our clients.

What our staff say…
One of our team recently relocated to wales and we were delighted to receive this letter…

I want to thank you and all the team for the opportunities you have given me.

There has been some sadness when we have lost some very special clients but certainly much more fun and laughter alongside it.

I have met some very lovely people, not only work colleagues but also clients and their families for which I am grateful. I have learnt so much [or at least I hope I have] and feel extremely privileged to have been given the chance to do something I have wanted to do for some time and that is work in a caring environment.

I wish all the Homecare people all the very best and hope it continues to grow in size and reputation.

Yours sincerely, Eirlys Jones
